Terms of service · pre-launch draft
A clear agreement for a student-owned process.
These are the product terms Vantage intends to use for its consumer launch. They are not final legal terms, and the company details, payment terms, jurisdiction, and dispute process will be finalized with counsel before the service becomes paid or generally available.
The service
Vantage is an AI-powered college-application coaching and organization tool. It helps students plan applications, organize information, and receive feedback. It is not a school, admissions office, law firm, financial adviser, or guarantee of admission, financial aid, scholarship, or any particular outcome.
Eligibility and accounts
The consumer product is intended for users 13 and older. Users must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. A parent or guardian should review and accept the final terms where required or appropriate for a minor user.
Student work and responsible use
- Students retain their rights in the writing and other content they create and upload.
- Students give Vantage the limited permission needed to host, secure, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the requested service.
- Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, submit another person’s personal information without permission, or use Vantage to cheat, deceive, harass, or violate a school’s rules.
- Vantage is designed to coach, question, and critique. The student remains the author and responsible decision-maker for anything submitted to a school.
AI boundaries
AI responses can be incomplete, wrong, or unsuitable for a particular application. They are starting points for a student’s own judgment, not professional admissions advice. Vantage does not make admissions decisions and does not promise that its suggestions will improve an outcome.
Intellectual property and copyright
Vantage owns its product, brand, and software except for user content and third-party materials. We will publish a designated DMCA agent, a notice-and-takedown process, a counter-notice process, and a repeat-infringer policy before public launch.
Availability, changes, and suspension
We may change, maintain, or discontinue features while the product is in development. We may limit or suspend access to protect users, the service, or legal rights, including where content or conduct violates the final terms.
Payment, refunds, governing law, and disputes
Vantage has not announced paid plans. Any final terms will state pricing, renewal, cancellation, refund, governing-law, and dispute-resolution provisions before a user is asked to pay. Any arbitration or class-action language must be specifically reviewed for this product, its users, and applicable law; it is not being silently added through this draft.
